Company Overview

Karachi Thatta Construction and Management (Private) Limited was incorporated on April 30, 2015 with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The main objective of the Company was to construct the Karachi – Thatta Dual Carriageway (KTDC) on Design, Finance, Build, Operate and Transfer (DFBOT) Mode for a period of 27 years (25 Years Maintenance + 2 Years Construction).

The formal Concession Agreement (CA) in this regard was signed by and between Works and Services Department GoS and Karachi Thatta Construction and Management (Private) Limited on May 07, 2015.

In order to comply with various clauses of Concession Agreement, the Company has also appointed Independent Engineer and Independent Auditor. Furthermore, the appointment of External Auditor (Statutory Auditor) and Legal Advisor, as required by the Companies Act, 2017, is also in place.

Company Statement / Intro

The existing Single Carriageway Road of Karachi Thatta Carriageway has been developed as Dual Carriageway (49.185 Km) from Ghaggar Phatak to Thatta Bypass with top width of 25.9 meter (85 feet) having 4-Lane with 2-Lane on each side separated by median (2.9 meter). There are 34 Nos. Bridges on KTDC out of which 06 Nos. reconstructed, 06 Nos. newly constructed and remaining 19 Nos. are retained / rehabilitated further 48 Nos. RCC Box Culverts and 02 Nos pipe culverts have also been constructed for flood discharge and cross drainage for the safety of road and local in-habitants.

The substantial completion of the contract achieved on November 29, 2017 and completion by February 28, 2018. The operation and management have commenced from November 29, 2017 from the date of substantial completion as per Concession Agreement.
